• 1 lb package gnocchi
  • 10 oz. frozen peas
  • 1 lb mild Italian sausage
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan
  • 3 teaspoons lemon juice


  1. Fill a medium pot half way with water. Salt the water generously and bring to a boil
  2. While waiting for the water to boil brown the sausage in a 12 inch skillet.
  3. When the sausage is almost done, add the gnocchi to the water. Make sure to break up any chunks so they don’t stick together.
  4. Reserve a cup or two of the pasta water and drain the gnocchi when they float.
  5. Add gnocchi to the sausage skillet and mix together.
  6. Add peas and some of the pasta water. Mix throughly.
  7. Add parmesan cheese and lemon juice.
  8. Continue mixing until the cheese melts and the resulting sauce is creamy.
  9. Add salt and pepper if needed.
